Many people hate long haul flights either because they are nervous of flying or due to the fact that they get incredibly bored. Of course, it always helps if you travel business or first class but this is not always an option. Whatever class you are travelling in, though, here are some tips to help you to make the most of your flights world wide.
Firstly prepare yourself and take plenty to read. Many people take thick novels with the intention of reading which is great but other people find it hard to concentrate on reading in a plane and they prefer magazines. The added advantage with magazines is that you can just leave them when you are finished so less to carry.
Make sure that your iPod is up to date with all your favourite music and invest in a pair of noise cancelling headphones which will work wonders. If you are going to a new country, download some basic language lessons onto your iPod which will keep you busy for the journey.
Load up a couple of films too if you can in case there is nothing to your taste on the in-flight entertainment programme.
Make sure that you keep active to prevent your legs from going stiff and try to take a nap on a regular basis so that you do not get off too jet-lagged.
